The highway bill promises to be a vehicle for many initiatives supported by OOIDA, and also for those the Association opposes. For that reason, the push for an efficient highway bill is expected to claim a top spot on the agenda of the OOIDA Spring Board Meeting this week.
Headliner items of discussion will include hours of service, CSA 2010, cross-border trucking with Mexico, employee vs. independent contractor classification, Government Accountability Office’s detention time investigation, environmental matters like EPA fuel mileage standards and idle-reduction incentives, and more.
The Board of Directors – composed of 22 full board members and six alternates – meet April 7-10 at OOIDA headquarters in Grain Valley, MO. OOIDA President and CEO Jim Johnston will preside.
