Moving company imposters busted in Utah

| Tuesday, April 06, 2010

Last week in Eagle Mountain, UT, south of Salt Lake City, police arrested three men for posing as employees of Atlas Van Lines.

KSL-TV reported that the three showed up at a woman’s house in a truck with a recently applied Atlas decal on the side. After loading half the truck, they told her the move to South Carolina would cost $5,100 instead of the agreed upon $1,800.

The woman called the real Atlas Van Lines and learned the men were imposters. Then she called the police and stood in front of the moving truck until they arrived.
