Tennessee Truck Show scheduled for Oct. 8-10

If you are looking for a way to combine your appreciation for show trucks, for good music and for barbecue, you may want to head to the Tennessee Truck Show on Oct. 8-10 in Crossville, TN.

And the other good news is that admission to the show is free for truckers.

OOIDA members Joey and Vicky Holiday are organizing the event, which is hosted this year at Fitzgerald Truck Sales on I-40, exit 311.

Vicky Holiday told Land Line on Wednesday, Sept. 30, that free barbecue and a Texas Hold’em tournament will kick off the truck show on Thursday, Oct. 8.

The show will also feature the music of the event’s organizer, Joey Holiday, who will be releasing his brand new CD, titled “Semi Celebrity.”

Other performers include TC Bush, Debbie Sparks and Aaron Tippin. Vicky Holiday said tickets to the Tippin concert are free for CDL holders. Other attendees will be charged around $10 per person. Proceeds from the Tippin concert will be donated to St. Jude’s.

Holiday said that all of the money received through show truck registration fees will be donated to the St. Christopher Fund, which provides financial support for truckers struggling with health issues.

She said some other exciting news is that a trucking couple called her recently and asked if they could be married on their stage on Saturday.

“This will be the second time a couple has asked to be married on our stage, so that will be fun,” she said.

Many other activities are planned at the show, including helicopter rides, which will be offered at a discounted price, and a NASCAR Simulator will also be on hand.
