A new chain of truck stop medical clinics plans to add 11 locations in Texas and Oklahoma through its exclusive partnership with Pilot Travel Centers.

In late August, Roadside Medical Clinics signed a $165,000 contract to open 11 clinics at Pilot Travel Centers.

Dr. Royce Brough, franchise owner of the clinic chain, has obtained licenses to open 11 Roadside Medical Clinic locations in Texas, California, New Mexico, New Jersey, Indiana and Oklahoma.

Locations in Oklahoma City and Dallas are planned to be open by early 2010.

“Professional over-the-road drivers need to be taken care of just like the rest of society, and Roadside Medical’s approach of providing not only medical care, but a comprehensive wellness program is key to keeping them on the road,” Brough said in a statement.

Bob Perry is president of Roadside Medical Clinic Lab and vice chair for the American Transportation Association Safety Management Council’s Health & Wellness Working Group. He said Brough is “an accomplished physician.”

“We are pleased to be working with Dr. Royce Brough to grow a national network with velocity through franchising and licensing,” Perry said in a statement.

The chain has three locations currently, clinics in West Memphis, AR; Cartersville, GA and Knoxville, TN.

Besides offering basic medical services, the clinics offer health and wellness programs.
