Truckers trying to keep up with their favorite (or not-so-favorite) air quality agency have a new tool to use.
The California Air Resources Board Web site has always been loaded with information – but boatloads of regulatory details, approved engines, retrofits and other details have been layered onto press releases, governor’s statements and emissions studies for a host of sources beyond trucking.
Enter CARB’s truck stop.
CARB has launched www.arb.ca.gov/truckstop, a trucking-specific site that allows truckers and fleet owners to enter their truck’s information and receive immediate regulatory requirements and potential funding options.
“The Truck Stop Web site is designed to be straightforward and easy to navigate,” read a CARB news release. “The site is designed primarily for the fleet owner, but the information is also useful for the truck dealer, lender, air districts and others in the trucking community.”
For more information, call 866-6DIESEL (866-634-3735) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or e-mail 8666DIESEL@arb.ca.gov.
Users of CARB’s new Truck Stop site also are asked to take a brief survey about their experiences with the site. The survey is available by clicking here.
