Two great trucking events will take place next week – one in Ontario and one in Ohio. If your family is looking for summer vacation plans, here are two choices to consider.
The Fergus Truck Show in Fergus, Ontario, begins Thursday, July 23. It is known as North America’s largest truck show and features truck and tractor pulls, a trade show, a BBQ and Trucker’s Breakfast, plus live music throughout the four-day event.
The list of live performers includes Terri Clark, Loverboy and more than a dozen more. Family activities, a demolition derby and much more will be happening through July 26. For tickets and details, click here.
Note: If you’re trucking to the Fergus event, please note that Ontario recently began hard enforcement of their speed limiter law. Please see David Tanner’s story from Land Line’s daily eNews.
You can recreate and educate at the same time if you attend Expedite Expo 2009 in Wilmington, OH, July 24 and 25. Participate in workshops that will help improve your bottom line. Topics range from buying and financing a truck to maintenance and idle reduction and more.
OOIDA Life Member and Editor of Expedite Now Magazine Phil Madsen will be the speaker at the Business Practices workshop.
While you’re there, have some fun, too. Meet Ryno and Rob from CMT’s “Trick My Truck,” hear great music and attend the Amazing Portable Circus. Dave Nemo will be broadcasting his Sirius XM show live both days. To register or get more information, click here.
On your way to the Expedite Expo, please note the absence of split speed limits in Ohio and give yourselves a pat on the back for your role in making it happen.
