| Friday, April 03, 2009

Dr. John McElligott of the Professional Drivers Medical Depot is joining forces with the St. Christopher Fund to hold a Health Screening Day on April 18 in Knoxville, TN.

On Saturday, beginning at 8:45 a.m. through 1 p.m. you can visit the Knoxville PDMD to receive a health screening from trained professionals. Drivers can have their vision and hearing examined, and they can receive a prescription for future health care needs.

PDMD is a “closed door clinic” whose mission is to improve the health of professional drivers. The clinic serves only truckers and has locations in Arkansas, Arizona, California, Georgia, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas. For more information, please click here.

Truckers receiving screening will also have the opportunity to fill out an anonymous St. Christopher survey and make a donation to the fund.

Established as a not-for-profit organization to provide financial assistance to professional truckers, the St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund conducts health research to benefit drivers and the trucking industry. You can get additional details or make a donation to the fund here.
