In Missouri, a trucker who heard an Amber Alert on the radio led police to a missing 3-year-old girl on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

Cliff Stockton, who drives for Grossman Iron & Steel of St. Louis, was at the Gasper’s Truck Plaza in Kingdom City, MO, when he spotted a white Kia minivan with Missouri plate 005-WRR. He called 9-1-1 and then kept a close eye on the woman who had climbed into the van.

When police arrived, Stockton says they found 3-year-old Cheyenne Ross of Cameron, MO, asleep on the floor of the van and unharmed.

Stockton told Reed Black on Land Line Now that he can’t remember his own license plate number but for some reason remembered the one from the Amber Alert even though he didn’t write it down.

Police took the woman – the girl’s noncustodial grandmother – into custody and reunited Cheyenne with her parents in Cameron.
