A Canadian man accused of nearly stabbing a trucker to death at an I-94 rest stop near Moorhead, MN, on Jan. 11 may end up in a psychiatric facility.

The Associated Press reported that Clay County Social Services filed a petition asking the court to declare 32-year-old Harmit Bhangu mentally ill and a danger to himself and others.

Bhangu is currently charged with second-degree attempted murder and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon for stabbing Montana trucker Dale Morigeau 10 times, including once near his heart.

Bhangu told police that God ordered him to kill Morigeau.
