National average drops another 5.6 cents to $2.366 for diesel

The price for diesel has dropped another 5.6 cents this past week to average $2.366 per gallon nationwide.

The Energy Information Administration is reporting on Monday, Dec. 22, that fuel prices are down more than 94 cents from the same week in 2007.

All nine regions of the country are again reporting fuel prices below the $3 mark, with California reporting the lowest regional average at $2.251 per gallon. The New England region is again reporting the highest average price for fuel at $2.689 per gallon.
