Diesel drops another 14.5 cents to $2.664

The national average price for diesel continues to drop – falling another 14.5 cents to $2.664 per gallon – this past week.

The Energy Information Administration reported on Monday, Nov. 24, that the national average is also 78 cents per gallon lower than during this same week in 2007.

The average price for fuel dropped again in all nine regions of the country, with all regions now reporting diesel averages below the $3 range. The Gulf Coast and the California regions are reporting the lowest prices for fuel at $2.605, while the highest diesel prices are still being reported in the New England region at $2.997. This past week, diesel was selling for $3.148 there.
