Truck, electronics load hijacked at Port of Long Beach

Long Beach port police are reportedly looking for three suspects in an expensive truck heist this week.

According to The Associated Press, Long Beach police said a truck driver was ordered out of his Freightliner truck shortly before 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at a freeway on-ramp in Long Beach.

The driver told police the men had guns, and said he watched as the men drove his semitrailer loaded with electronics away on the 710 Freeway.

The driver wasn’t hurt.

According to the Los Angeles Times the tractor’s license plate reads 7556776, and the accompanying trailer’s license plate read GT66777.
