The world’s largest warehouse club retailer will pay the California Air Resources Board more than $40,000 for certain paperwork violations.

Costco Wholesale Corp. was fined $40,200 in early May after CARB’s inspectors found that Costco filed late and incomplete reports for its distribution centers at Mira Loma and Tracy, CA, therefore violating the agency’s transport refrigeration unit regulation.

Costco also agreed to provide CARB extra information about its operating schedules, facility diagrams and estimated loading and idling times at the Mira Loma and Tracy facilities.

Costco – headquartered in Issaquah, WA – reportedly reaps revenue of more than $60 billion annually.
