You wouldn’t expect to see a “Big Truck” running in a horse race, but that’s exactly what’s going to happen at this weekend’s Kentucky Derby.
Big Truck is the name of a horse owned by Eric Fein and trained by Barclay Tagg.
In a press release on his Web site, Fein announced that Big Truck will be participating in the “Running for Re-run” program, which donates money toward finding homes for former race horses.
Big Truck is a 3-year-old colt who has won three races over the past year, the most recent being the Tampa Bay Derby in March. He finished fifth or better in seven out of his last eight races.
In spite of those impressive statistics, TheSportsNetwork.com puts his odds of winning at just 50 to 1.
