The price of oil was around $97.50 Wednesday morning, after reaching $98 a barrel on Tuesday to break another all-time record.

In China, the two biggest oil companies have promised to step up production of diesel fuel after two weeks of shortages caused truck deliveries to take twice as long as normal.

According to ProMiles, the average price of diesel fuel on Wednesday went up another 3 cents overnight to $3.36.

For a 200-gallon fill-up, that’s $672.
