Georgia trucker’s murder not ‘random’

| Friday, October 12, 2007

Police in Lithonia, GA, told “Land Line Now” on XM Satellite Radio they don’t think a truck driver who was shot to death in a trucking company lot this week was the victim of a random crime.

However, they’re not saying what they think the circumstances might have been – and so far, no one’s in custody.

Derrick Ware, 36, was on his first day at the job at Brown Trucking Company when he was approached, late at night, by two men dressed in black.

They reportedly asked him for directions, and then one of them shot him.
