Canadian trucker cashes in on lottery ticket

| Wednesday, October 10, 2007

A trucker from Sherwood Park in Alberta, Canada, recently got double lucky.

According to media reports, Nick McKay stopped at a convenience store to get some lottery tickets, but the clerk gave him one ticket that was the wrong kind of scratch-and-win.

The clerk offered to swap it out, but McKay said no, he’d take it.

That was his first bit of luck. The second came when he scratched the ticket and discovered he’d won $2 million.

McKay says he plans to buy a car, a home in the country and start his own business.
