Police in Indianapolis have linked a missing woman to a trucker who’s reportedly confessed to killing six women in four states.
According to the Indianapolis Star, an ID card belonging to 31-year-old Carma Purpura was found in Bruce Mendenhall’s truck.
Investigators are now waiting for DNA tests to see if blood found on clothing in his truck came from Purpura, the Star reported.
The mother of two was last seen on July 11 at an Indianapolis truck stop.
Mendenhall reportedly told police he picked up a woman at the truck stop the same day, then killed her and dumped her body in a trash bin near a Hardee’s restaurant.
Police say they searched the trash bin but found nothing, and that the body may have been incinerated.
