Remember the nine-year-old boy who saved his father’s life by taking the wheel of his dad’s rig when his dad blacked out?

Well, he’s received a reward for his heroic deed from an unlikely source.

According to media reports, when he was asked last month what he would like as a reward for his brave act, Matty Lovo said what he wanted was a new Sony PlayStation 3 game console.

A group of people who had read about his story gathered together and offered to by one for the boy, but his father, Matthew Lovo, politely declined.

But now, Sony, which manufactures the PlayStation, has stepped up and offered to donate one. This time, Matthew said yes.

The company presented Matty with his gift Wednesday evening.
