Police in Jersey City, NJ, are investigating the killing of a Costa Rican trucker who was found in the cab of his truck, bound with duct tape at the wrists and ankles and stabbed to death.
According to the Jersey Journal, the victim was apparently killed in the course of a robbery.
The Journal reported that the 50-year-old truck driver was originally identified as Arnaldo Lopez of Costa Rica, investigators now aren’t sure as they searched his room and turned up at least one other driver’s license from another jurisdiction.
His truck was parked near the boarding house where he lived and police say they found thousands of dollars inside, the Journal reported.
Lopez hauled trash from New York City to a landfill in Pennsylvania.
