Uncork the champagne – the Land Line Web site has reached a major milestone.
According to internal statistics, landlinemag.com had an average of 10,929 visitors each day for the month of July. That’s more than double the number of visitors – 5,033 – the site received on a daily basis in July 2006.
For July 2007, the numbers added up to more than 338,810 total visitors over the course of the month.
It’s been about a year since the Land Line site underwent a major overhaul. Since then, the site has added features such as RSS feeds, social bookmarking, conveniences such as printer-friendly articles and adjustable font sizes, and the ability to convert articles into downloadable PDFs that can be saved to the user’s personal computer.
Additionally, the site’s articles have begun popping up on Google News, a popular news Web site that’s helped expand OOIDA’s message to even more readers – including lawmakers and the mainstream press.
“It’s very exciting to be able to reach more and more truckers with the news and information they need to run their businesses,” said Aaron Ladage, online editor for Land Line. “We’re constantly adding new features and original content to the site. I think our readers will be very impressed by some of the options we’ll be rolling out in the near future.”
One of the newest additions to the site is the Land Line Media Blog. The blog, which is already developing a loyal following, provides an insider look at the industry through commentary and stories written by the Land Line staff. To read the blog for yourself, click here.
