The weather along parts of the Gulf Coast could get interesting during the next week or so.

In fact, on the Texas coast, it’s expected to get interesting Thursday, Aug. 16, when Tropical Storm Erin is expected to hit south of Corpus Christi and drop as much as eight inches of rain.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Dean – currently out in the Atlantic – could reach hurricane strength as it moves westward and up through the Caribbean toward Florida.

According to current predictions, the storm could reach the south Florida coast on Tuesday, Aug. 21.
