Floods, heat causing problems across the country

The weather’s getting the attention of truckers in several parts of the nation.

Torrential rains, flooding, high winds and tornadoes in parts of Ohio and Pennsylvania put a lot of secondary roads underwater on Thursday. Power was still out at tens of thousands of homes in both states Friday morning, according to media reports.

Meanwhile, the heat is the problem in the Southeast. Atlanta saw a record high of 103 degrees on Thursday, while a 104-degree reading set a new record in Columbia, SC.
