If you run in Georgia, take note – the Georgia Department of Transportation wants to know your opinions about a proposal for truck-only toll lanes.
GDOT officials called a series of public meetings to gain input for a study to determine where truck-only toll lanes would be effective.
Public input, as well as input from business, government and planning organizations is being taken into account. The study period will last until October.
The current round of meetings includes two more in May. More hearings are being scheduled for August, but dates and times have not been set.
The public can ask questions and submit questions or opinion statements to GDOT planners and engineers in attendance. The meetings are open-house format, which means people can drop by anytime within the meeting times.
Meetings are from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the following dates and at the following locations:
- Tuesday, May 15, at the Coastal Georgia Center, 305 Fahm St., Savannah, GA 31401. Call (912) 651-2005
- Tuesday, May 22, at the KSU Center, 3333 Busbee Dr., Kennesaw, GA 30144. Call (770) 423-6765.
