IdleAire awash in red ink

| 4/5/2007

IdleAire Technologies Corp., a provider of truck stop electrification services to the long-haul trucking industry, came out Thursday, April 5, with its 2006 financial report, and there’s a lot more red ink than black on the page.

The Knoxville, TN-based company reports it had $14 million in revenues last year, but claimed $60 million in losses – about double its losses from the previous year.

In a press release, IdleAire officials said the losses were mainly caused by the increasing number of facilities that are being built around the country.

As of Dec. 31, 2006, the company was operating 99 sites in 26 states.
