Arizona mud flap bill flops

| Friday, February 16, 2007

An attempt by an Arizona state lawmaker to outlaw certain types of truck mud flaps has gone down the tubes.

According to The Associated Press, the bill sought to get rid of racial slurs – and those shiny, metal silhouettes of curvaceous women, aka “chrome shop girls.”

Rep. Theresa Ulmer, D-District 24, who supported the bill, said she’s tired of explaining to her 11-year-old son that “not all women are 36Ds,” The AP reported.

However, on Thursday, the Arizona House rejected the measure.
