Dorothy the stowaway skunk is finally back in her old stomping grounds in California.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the story, Dorothy is the wild skunk that fell asleep in a plastic pipe that was loaded onto a semi and driven to Canada, where she was discovered more than a week later.
Last week, two volunteers from a Ventura, CA, radio station drove Dorothy home. Then, after her 5,000-mile trip, they opened her cage near the woods from which she came, and she scampered off into the brush.
One of the volunteers told “Land Line Now” on XM Satellite Radio that Dorothy never sprayed during the trip home, that she behaved like “an angel,” and that what people say about skunks is a bad rap.
