Market analysts at the investment firm Bear Stearns think
the slowdown in Class 8 truck sales this year will run deeper and last longer
than most observers think.
An analyst at Bear Stearns told Today's Trucking the number of pre-buy sales in 2006 was
"astonishing," showing a 12-percent increase over 2005 - even though the
economic climate in trucking last year wasn't that great.
