Stowaway skunk looking for lift back home

The folks at the Toronto Wildlife Center in Canada are trying to arrange return passage for a critter that was a stowaway on a truck from California.

Trouble is, the ride home could turn into a smelly situation – the misplaced critter is a skunk.

The wildlife center’s director told local media that they can’t simply release the skunk into the Canadian wild – not only because it’s illegal, but also because skunks are very territorial and the Canadian skunks might not appreciate their American visitor.

So, they’re looking for a motorist or a trucker who’s willing to hold their nose, if necessary, for the 2,000-mile trip back home.
