U.S. DOT launches drunken driving awareness campaign

The U.S. Department of Transportation has launched its first-ever holiday advertising campaign on radio and TV to discourage drinking and driving.

The campaign slogan is "Drunk driving. Over the limit. Under arrest."

Drunken-driving deaths declined slightly in 2005, but 12,945 people were still killed in wrecks involving drunken drivers, according to DOT figures.
