Bomb threats close two truck stops; suspect arrested

Bomb threats shut down a Love's Travel Stop and a Flying J on Highway 99 near Modesto, CA, for about 30 minutes Monday morning.

According to the Modesto Bee, Fred Guerrrero, a 51-year-old man, was arrested for allegedly calling in the threats to 9-1-1 from a convenience store pay phone. The police did not give a possible motive.

Guerrero admitted to placing a phone call from the pay phone, but said he did not call 9-1-1, the Bee reported.

Last week, the Modesto airport was shut down for six hours after someone e-mailed a bomb threat. It was unclear if there was a link between the two incidents.
