A truck driver is lucky he wasn't seriously injured after being attacked by two men on the shoulder of an Iowa highway last Friday.

According to Southwest Iowa News, Rick Lemke was driving his truck on U.S. Highway 30 near Dennison when the driver of a pickup began flashing his lights, honking his horn and yelling that Lemke had a flat.

When he pulled over, two men approached him - and one hit him in the head with a metal pipe.

Lemke struggled with both men and managed to get the pipe and hit one of them.

He got in his truck and left, calling 9-1-1 a few minutes later.

Police are looking for a dark blue Ford F-150. The suspects are described as a 6-foot-2 white man with a rough beard, and a shorter Hispanic man.
