Water continues to cause problems in Northwestern U.S.

| Friday, November 10, 2006

It was raining or snowing in parts of the northwestern U.S. Friday, which only added to the impact of record rainfall that produced widespread flooding earlier this week.

In Washington, the eastbound lanes of U.S. 2 remain closed after being covered by a mudslide.

Meanwhile, in Oregon, the White River washed out State Highway 35 east of Mount Hood, closing it to traffic.

At least one person has been killed as a result of severe flooding.
