The organizers of this year's Fergus Truck Show have just handed out $43,000 worth of checks to non-profit groups.

The annual show - held 40 miles west of Toronto, Canada - started as a benefit for the Fergus Community Center expansion project.

Now, the 10-year-old event benefits groups ranging from the Optimist Club to the Boy Scouts and has raised more than half a million dollars for charitable organizations.
