Investigators are now saying that a man who was gunned down along with his family on the side of the Florida Turnpike was probably involved in drug trafficking.

According to The Associated Press a search of Jose Escobedo's house turned up suspected records of drug sales and plastic materials used to package drugs.

Three men and a woman are now in custody in connection with the killings.

Escobedo, his wife and two sons were found shot to death, execution-style, near Port St. Lucie on Oct 13.
