For the first time in a long time, diesel prices have gone up instead of down, according the ProMiles.

After holding steady at $2.52 a gallon for several days, ProMiles showed the national average Thursday afternoon at $2.54 a gallon today - up 2 cents.

Diesel prices have gone down steadily in recent months, with a gallon of diesel now costing about 63 cents less than it did one year ago.
