Investigators still searching for clues in slain Florida family case

| Wednesday, October 18, 2006

Officials are still investigating the apparent murder of two adults and two children whose bodies were left near the Florida Turnpike in the southern part of the state.

The victims have been identified as 29-year-old Jose Escobedo, his 25-year-old wife, Yessica, and their two boys, ages 3 and 4. The family had recently moved to Florida from Texas.

According to media reports, all four victims were both shot multiple times.

Authorities think someone who was in the family's vehicle murdered the four and then drove off, but officials aren't saying what led them to that conclusion.

If you have any information, call the Florida Highway Patrol's tip line at 1-800-273-TIPS (1-800-273-8477).
