A trucker connected to a fatal collision in Florida has been charged.
The Associated Press reports that Alvin Wilkerson of Jacksonville, FL, faces 14 felony counts,
including vehicular homicide and manslaughter.
Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board said
earlier that Wilkerson had been awake for 34 hours – except for a short nap –
before the Jan. 25 crash, which killed seven people.
Wilkerson could be arraigned as soon as Oct. 18, but media reports
indicated a trial is not likely until next year.
