California police have made four arrests in an alleged
insurance scam that involved faking car wrecks and then filing false insurance
claims.
According to The San Jose
Mercury-News, the four suspects staged more than 100 collisions in California’s Bay area, resulting in more than $2 million in losses to insurers.
According to investigators, the suspects would recruit people who had
policies covering bodily injury damages.
They would then stage an accident and get a chiropractor to submit
bogus medical bills.
