World's Largest Convoy will roll for Special Olympians

Truckers and law enforcement personnel throughout the United States and Canada will join forces again for the World’s Largest Truck Convoy, which in most participating states will take place on Saturday, Sept. 16.

More than 4,000 trucks are expected to convoy in support of Special Olympics.

Some states and provinces plan to hold their convoy at an earlier or later date.Delaware, Florida and New Jersey have planned events for Oct. 7; Minnesota is on the calendar for Oct. 21.

Last fall, OOIDA’s tour truck, “The Spirit of the American Trucker” participated in the Texas event, originating at Carl’s Corner. This year, the truck will convoy in Florida on Oct. 7.

Besides supporting a worthwhile cause, the WLTC hopes to maintain Guinness World’s Record status as the world’s largest convoy for the sixth consecutive year.
