A Virginia trucker who was involved in a fatal accident has been sentenced to 10 months in prison for falsifying his log book.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Matthew Gessner, who was driving for Carson Brown Trucking, fell asleep at the wheel in September 2004 after driving for 19 hours.

His truck ran off the road and hit a parked car, killing one of the occupants.
