The Owner-Operator’s Business Association of Canada has partnered with a pair of owner-operators to bring a French-language trucking show to XM Satellite Radio.

OBAC partnered with the Web site Lecamionneur.com and “Entre les 2 Lignes,” a weekly French-language radio show aired on XM Satellite Radio Channel 172.

According to a press release from OBAC, both the site and the radio show were started by Jacque Plante, an owner-operator from Saint Hyacinthe, Quebec. Plante runs the Web site and will co-host the show with Jean Catudel, another owner-operator based in Yumaska, Quebec. Both Plante and Catudel are OOIDA members.

Joanne Ritchie, executive director of OBAC, told Land Line that the show provides a unique service for truckers in Canada.

“This means we’re going to be able to reach French-speaking truckers in Quebec and elsewhere with the news and information they need in their own language, and that’s something they were lacking before,” she said.

The show airs Sundays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. EDT.
