A Georgia truck driver who’d been missing for almost a week was found dead in the cab of his truck Saturday, May 27, at the bottom of a ravine.

According to The Charlotte Observer, the coroner says 67-year-old Richard Fox died of head and chest injuries after his truck went off a 300-foot embankment and crashed into a densely wooded area.

The wreck occurred on U.S. Highway 441 near Eatenton, GA.

Police say it happened at a sharp curve in the highway and that there were no skid marks.

The dense woods hid the truck from searchers for days.

Almost six years ago, a similar situation occurred in North Carolina when truck driver Bruce “Oatmeal Man” Onnela went off a 300-foot embankment on Interstate 40. The OOIDA member was missing for more than two months.

Onnella’s truck was also obscured by trees and wasn’t discovered until 10 weeks after the crash.
