Iraq truckers' support group to meet in Nashville

| Wednesday, May 10, 2006

Every trucking job can be tough, but when you’re dodging bullets and sandstorms in Iraq to get the load delivered, it’s a much different ballgame.

That’s why Jana Crowder, founder of the support group “American Contractors in Iraq,” is organizing a get-together for truckers and their families who have worked in the war-torn country.

The event is scheduled for July 8 at the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville, TN. The featured speaker will be Cindy Morgan, a female trucker who worked in Iraq. Morgan’s book, “Cindy in Iraq: A Civilian’s Year in the War Zone,” will be released by Simon & Schuster June 27.
