An OOIDA member from Porter, TX, has become the first winner of “The Midnight Trucking Radio Network’s” game “Guess What’s In It and Win.”

On April 24, Paul Stalter, an independent contractor for Schneider National, won $25,000 in the contest, with a correct guess of “picture frame.”

The “Guess What’s In It & Win” game, which was sponsored by Petro Stopping Centers, began Jan. 30 and ended April 24, when Stalter registered a correct guess and won. Each week, “The Midnight Trucking Radio Network” program – which airs as a syndicated program on terrestrial radio and is carried on satellite radio by Sirius – announced a clue on Monday mornings describing the mystery contents inside the box.

Listeners were instructed to register their guess at game kiosks at designated Petro Stopping Centers for the chance to win $25,000 in cash. The kiosks allowed drivers to access the clue and enter one guess per week.

Stalter said in a press release that he, his wife and several buddies had been playing the game for the entire 12 weeks.

“Basically, there were four clues that really gave it away,” Stalter said.

He plans to use his $25,000 prize to cover fees associated with the adoption of his 11-year-old daughter, help his church pay for a new building and to overhaul the engine on his truck.

Because of an overwhelming response to the game, plans are currently being made for a second round of the game this summer.
