Manitoba-North Dakota border crossing still closed from floods

Twenty stretches of Manitoba highways have been closed in the last two weeks because of flooding.

The Gretna, Canada, border crossing at Neche, N.D., the main link between Manitoba and the U.S., remained closed Monday, April 24.

Officials are scrambling to figure out how much it’s costing the area’s economy and how it can rebound. Manitoba Premier Gary Doer is already looking ahead at possibly building bypasses to some of the lowest spots.
