Truckers sue for unpaid wages

A group of Tennessee truckers has banded together to file a lawsuit against their former employer, seeking more then $60,000 in unpaid wages.

WBIR-TV, a local NBC affiliate, reported that the truckers worked for the now-defunct Extreme Logistics in Loudon, TN.

The drivers claim that when the company suddenly went out of business in March, the owner, Joey Brandenburg, left his employees in the lurch.

The drivers appeared in court on Thursday, April 13, while Brandenburg was a no-show. Because of this, WBIR-TV reported, the judge ruled in favor of the drivers to the tune of $61,000. Brandenburg has 10 days to appeal the decision.
