Green ribbons signify anti-toll-road solidarity

OOIDA Member Randy Nace, who is one of the Indiana residents who filed a lawsuit this week challenging the lease of the Indiana Toll Road to a private company, is in on the ground floor of an awareness campaign as well.

Nace and others involved with the lawsuit – which names Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels and other state and corporate officials as defendants – are asking truckers to tie green ribbons on their west-coast mirrors to show support for the court challenge and to bring solidarity among people opposed to the privatization and tolling of U.S. highways.

“Green ribbons signify unity,” Nace told Land Line. “Somebody called in and suggested it, and I liked it. I would just like to see green ribbons going on everybody’s vehicles, whether it be in Indiana or in California.”
