A former Maryland driver’s license examiner who now owns a driving school has pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Baltimore to conspiracy to commit identification document fraud.

According to an FBI investigation, Ahmed Abdul Moiz, owner of the All American Driving School – a third-party driver testing facility in Baltimore – conspired with employees at the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration.

The investigation found that, between 1998 and 2003, Moiz conspired to assist more than 500 people, mostly from southwestern Asian countries, to fraudulently obtain Maryland driver’s licenses, CDLs and related documents in exchange for more than $200,000.

Sentencing for Moiz is scheduled for July 6. Maryland officials have been provided a list of individuals who obtained licenses fraudulently in order to re-test them.
