Crude oil prices hit two-month high

| 4/7/2006

After reaching a two-month high in trading on Thursday, April 6, crude oil prices dropped slightly Friday – with light sweet crude trading at just less than $ 67 per barrel in New York at midday.

That’s not too far below the all-time record high of $70.85 per barrel that crude was selling for in early September 2005, following Hurricane Katrina.

Meanwhile, AAA is showing the national average price of diesel at $2.70 a gallon – up nine cents from a month ago.
